Why We Offer Custom Cuts and Coloring

Our purpose is to ease the difficult journey. One of the biggest issues we have discovered is that there are not enough stylists that are educated in the customization of toppers and wigs. By offering this service, we can live our purpose and help more women with hair loss.

We have partnered with a top stylist who specializes in customizing toppers and wigs. We have been working with this stylist for many years, and she knows Dimples products better than anyone. We have done our very best to keep the customization costs down while maintaining the highest quality.


How it Works

When purchasing a topper, at checkout you'll see options for customization: bang cut-in, root color, highlighting, etc. Choose one, several, or all of the custom items you want. All customizations are done in the USA. See below for details.


Conditions for Product Customization

  • Absolutely no returns or exchanges once the topper has been sent to our stylist.

  • You may return or exchange only if the topper has not been sent to the stylist and you initiate the process within 3 days of receipt from Dimples.

  • Shipping Costs: For customization orders:

    • Customer pays shipping from Dimples to the customer.

    • Dimples covers shipping from the customer to our stylist.

    • Dimples covers shipping from the stylist back to the customer.

  • Topper customization service is only available in the Continental USA. If you add customization services at checkout and live outside of the USA, we will refund you for the services minus a 3% restocking fee (to cover credit card fees).

  • Only available for newly purchased Dimples Human Hair Toppers — customization services must be added at checkout when purchasing the topper.

  • Customization services are not available for other topper or wig brands.

  • Additional customization after receiving your topper (within 14 days) will incur extra service and shipping costs both ways.

  • If you need expedited shipping, you are responsible for all expedited shipping fees for each leg of the process.

  • Shipping Insurance: We recommend adding ROUTE shipping insurance at checkout. If you do not insure your order, it will not be covered for loss or damage during any part of the journey.


The Topper Customization Journey

Option 1 — Buy & Customize Immediately

  1. Purchase your Dimples topper and add customization services at checkout.

  2. Decide within 3 days of receipt if you want to keep it. After this stage, no returns or exchanges are allowed.

  3. Ship your topper (Dimples covers this shipping) to our stylist, Debora.

  4. Have your pre-booked Zoom consult with Debora and share inspiration pictures.

  5. Debora customizes your topper and ships it back to you (Dimples covers this shipping).

  6. Receive your customized topper — ready to wear.


Option 2 — Consult First (Recommended)

  1. Book Consult 1 to determine the right size, color, and customization for you.

  2. Purchase your topper with customization add-ons at checkout.

  3. Decide within 3 days of receipt if you want to keep it.

  4. If customization was not done immediately, book Consult 3 with Debora.

  5. Ship your topper (Dimples covers this shipping) to Debora.

  6. Debora customizes your topper and ships it back to you (Dimples covers this shipping).

  7. Receive your customized topper — ready to wear.


Timing

Up to 22 days (not including any delays from shippers, holidays, or bad weather). If you live closer to Dimples (L.A.) and Debora (Seattle), shipping times will be faster.

  • Ship from Dimples to you (up to 5 business days) — customer pays shipping

  • Ship from you to Debora (up to 5 business days) — FREE

  • Cutting/Styling/Coloring by Debora – after consultation, up to 7 days

  • Ship from Debora back to you (up to 5 business days) — FREE


Any “more customization items” you want after you receive your customized topper (within 14 days only — for example, “oh, I wish I had more blonde,” or “more layers,” etc.) will incur extra service charges and shipping costs both ways. Ground shipping only applies for the free shipping that Dimples offers for this service — Dimples covers the shipping from you to our Dimples Stylist, and from our Dimples Stylist back to you. Shipping from Dimples to you is paid by the customer.


Pro Tip for Faster Turnaround:
If you are a returning customer 100% sure of your topper choice, you may request to have Dimples ship directly to Debora for customization, and then have Debora ship to you — shipping from Dimples to you is customer-paid, while shipping from you to Debora and from Debora back to you remains FREE for standard ground shipping. By choosing this option, you waive the right to return or exchange.
