Why We Offer Custom Cuts and Coloring
Exploring hair toppers can feel overwhelming, especially when it’s difficult to find stylists who truly understand how to customize them. Offering in-house topper customization allows us to support you more fully — with expertise grounded in years of experience and a deep understanding of hair loss.
We partner with a top stylist who specializes in customizing hair toppers. She has worked with Dimples toppers for many years and knows the construction, hair quality, and design details better than anyone. This partnership allows us to keep costs as accessible as possible while maintaining exceptional quality.

How It Works
When you purchase a Dimples topper, you’ll see customization options at checkout — bang cut-in, root color, highlighting, and more. You can choose one service, several, or all. All topper customization is performed in the USA.
Everything you need to know before customizing your hair topper is outlined below.
Absolutely no returns or exchanges once the topper has been sent to our stylist.
You may return or exchange only if the topper has not been sent to the stylist and you initiate the return within 3 days of receipt from Dimples.
Shipping Costs for customization orders:
- Customer pays shipping from Dimples to the customer.
- Dimples covers shipping from the customer to our stylist.
- Dimples covers shipping from the stylist back to the customer.
Customization services are only available within the Continental USA.
- If you add customization and live outside the USA, we will refund the customization fee minus a 3% restocking fee (to cover credit card fees).
Customization services are available only for newly purchased Dimples Human Hair Toppers and must be added at checkout.
Customization services are not available for other hair topper brands.
Additional customization requested after receiving your topper (within 14 days) will incur extra service fees and shipping costs both ways.
If you require expedited shipping, you are responsible for expedited fees for every leg of the process.
Shipping Insurance: We recommend adding ROUTE protection at checkout. If you do not insure your order, it will not be covered for loss or damage at any point in the journey.
Option 1 — Buy & Customize Immediately
- Purchase your Dimples topper and add customization services at checkout.
- Decide within 3 days of receiving your topper if you want to keep it. After this point, no returns or exchanges are allowed.
- Ship your topper to our stylist, Debora — Dimples covers this shipping.
- Have your pre-booked Zoom consultation with Debora and share inspiration photos.
- Debora customizes your topper and ships it back to you — Dimples covers this shipping.
- Receive your customized topper — ready to wear.
Option 2 — Consult First (Recommended)
- Book Consult 1 to determine the right base size, color, and customization direction for you.
- Purchase your topper with customization services added at checkout.
- Decide within 3 days of receiving your topper if you want to keep it.
- If customization wasn’t done immediately, book Consult 3 with Debora.
- Ship your topper to Debora — Dimples covers this shipping.
- Debora customizes your topper and ships it back to you — Dimples covers this shipping.
- Receive your customized topper — ready to wear.
Total timing:
Up to 22 days (not including delays caused by carriers, holidays, or weather).
If you live closer to Dimples (L.A.) or Debora (Seattle), shipping may be faster.
Time breakdown:
- Ship from Dimples to you: up to 5 business days — customer pays shipping
- Ship from you to Debora: up to 5 business days — FREE
- Cutting/Styling/Coloring by Debora: up to 7 days after your consult
- Ship from Debora back to you: up to 5 business days — FREE
Any additional topper customization you request after receiving your topper (within 14 days) will incur extra service charges and shipping costs both ways.

If you’re a returning customer and already confident in your topper choice, you may request that Dimples ship your topper directly to Debora for customization. After customization, Debora will ship your topper directly to you.
